A suspect has appeared in court after two men suffered knife wounds following a fight in a Daybrook street.
Police were called to Cornwall Road, Daybrook, around 1.45am last Thursday (3) following reports of a disturbance.
Two men, one aged in his 20s and another in his 30s, were taken to hospital with injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Detectives launched an investigation which involved a trawl of CCTV footage, forensic analysis and house-to-house inquiries.
Twenty-year-old Marshall Williams Handley, of Mansfield Road, Daybrook, has been charged with two counts of committing grievous bodily harm with intent and one of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court today (8 April) and was remanded in custody until 6 May 2025 when he is due to appear at Nottingham Crown Court.

“A team of officers has worked quickly and efficiently to trace a suspect and he has been arrested, charged and placed before magistrates at the earliest opportunity.”
